Climate Change: Carbon finance (ARR) and REDD+ projects under APFBC II

(a)During the Project Dissemination Workshop on 2 March 2025 in Guwahati, two tripartite MoUs were signed to undertake projects on Afforestation, Reforestation and Revegetation (ARR) based carbon finance, and REDD+ under APFBC II.
(b)The APFBC II (Environment, Forest and Climate Change Department) is the Project Proponent for the proposed projects, with TERI being the Carbon Expert and the VnV Advisory Pte. Ltd. as the Funding Agency.
    (c) In both the proposed projects, the restoration and forest conservation undertaken by the department would enable generation of carbon credits, the benefits of which would also percolate to the forest fringe communities
